We see our vision as having three different actions that we show as an iceberg. The iceberg has a tip that is above the surface where it is at its narrowest, the middle and the base are the largest parts and are under the surface.
Middle of the Iceberg - Improving Individual Health
The middle of the iceberg represents the human behaviors that lead to the diseases and conditions in the tip of the iceberg. To help our community grow healthier, we have several Health Improvement (HI) events throughout the year. These events include the Pound Plunge, Parkway Run/Walk, Heart Walk, Women's Wellness Initiative, Diabetes Expo, 4th Grade Challenge, Beautiful Bones: Osteoporosis, and Speaking of Spine Care. Community Health Improvement Solutions partners with area businesses to help our regional workforce become healthier and more productive through wellness activities, occupational medicine and health insurance.
